My best Janina is in Paris for the weekend and we meet up and had an amazing and relaxing lunch at the well-known L'Avenue on Avenue Montaigne. Such a beautiful spot in Paris where you can look at the glamours people walking around, shopping at Dior, Celiné and Louis Vuitton. Such a great afternoon!
Visiting BHV in Paris, a big department store where you can find anything, I found this slate with crayons. It was for school children and I got the impression that they still use these in school... very old-fashion but quite charming :) Don't think I'll bring it for my studies at Sorbonne but definitely for my lists at home!
After getting up early, taking my bike down south for my registration at Sorbonne I ended up in Jardin des Tuileries just before noon. Going into the park I first saw a segway group passing by and before I knew it, a lady hits one of the pavement poles. When she fell it turned out to be a kind of domino effec which could have been quite amusing but unfortunately did the older lady hit the ground hard and the ambulance ended showing up. After that scenario I walked further into the park and it was amazingly beautiful! I spent some time walking around enjoying the view and sunshine.
Walking from the Swedish Embassy on the small streets of the 5th Arrondissement I saw some amazing shopping. Two of my favorite things, that Paris do best: glasses and shoes.
My Parisian friend Aude asked me if I wanted to join her for a bike ride and go to the market next to the stock market (Bourse). Both me and Daniel joined her and it was an amazing market with both very unique stuff and a lot of crap. Exactly what a flea market should offer you. Lucky for us is it just ten minutes away from home so I know I'll come back a few more times to make some great bargains.
Finally is season 4 of Glee here!!! It is my geeky dance/musical side who loves it.... Check it out. I know Sarah Jessica Parker is in it as well :D Well I just love KH, her body is sick = Amazing
This is probably as far as you can get from the average swedish fashion style. Anna Dello Russo the "Fashion Maniac" according to the photographer Helmet Newton, is designing an exclusive accessories collection for H&M which is launching in store 4th October around the world.
I almost couldn't tell at first if this video was the official launch for the collaboration, but yes I realized it was. Being Swedish I am not used to the extravaganza style and settings :P so my first initial thought was "oh, my god is it for real" and "you can't do that and wear that in her age"... haha but I found myself 2,5 minute into the video loving her self confidence. Anna Dello Russo is much loved by the fashion world and I understand why. She stands for the unique individual style that many seek and her self confidence is obvious. It is all about expressing who you are and now everyone can get some of her style.
After reading Frida Fahrmans blog and looking through her posts from her time in Paris, I found the MERCI store. Not very from where I live. It is such a nice store including the most unique designs and products in clothing, jewllery, interiors and beauty. They also have a beautiful restaurant and café where I need to go very soon...
Soooooooo. I moved from London to Paris. Never saw that one coming but here I am. After going back and forth to see my boyfriend who works and lives in Paris, I have now decided to try the Parisian life full-time.
My three main goals in Paris:
1. Enjoy life
2. Learn french
3. Find a job
My first three weeks will mainly be about enjoying life and get to know the city and find my way. I will then in October start my French course at Sorbonne and hopefully achieve my french speaking goal. Then..fingers crossed.. find a job!
